It's no secret that shopping was overwhelming when we first moved here. First, we knew basically zero language. Second, sometimes choices for products can be so limited that you can only find certain things in maybe one store like for example finely grated Parmesan cheese only sold at Tesco. However, there are other times when you have so many choices that you aren't really sure what to buy.
One area that can be overwhelming is the condiments. You want ketchup, mustard, or some other sauce and you have no shortage to choose from. Here are just some ketchup choices and if we don't buy the right one, a few of our people are not happy campers especially the youngest!

| Yes, people eat ketchup on Pizza here. I have no idea why but it's a thing. |

| Lies! Nothing that says spicy is every actually spicy. It's led to great disappointment. |
The other area that scared me initially was the white flour selection. Flours are named and numbered by how they are milled and how fine the grains are ground. Some are better for breads, others, pierogies, others cakes. But how do you know which one???? Sometimes, they actually print a picture on the flour which shows you what the flour is best for. In other cases like with all of these, you just have to figure it out with time. Oh, and there are so many alternative flours like rye, corn, almond, rice, etc. That can make it even more confusing.
